Welcome to Googlebar.com. If you are looking for the Google toolbar, you have come to the wrong place. The toolbar is SPYWARE!
I used to like Google until I did some research. I generally don't like corporations or entities that try to decide "what is best" for me. That's just plain UN-American (but then again, Google's founder Sergey doesn't sound very American either). I can think for myself thank you. I now use Yahoo mostly, but there are other good search engines and About.com has a lot of good information on most things.
Some basic details. Google, with it's immortal/permanent cookie, and various tracking methods tries to display customized search results which "they think" fit me best or "they think" I want to see. I prefer they just show me the plain data and let me decide what I want to view.
Google also violates several security and privacy best practice rules. Rules which most other companies (even Microsoft) abide by.
I have much of the information detailed here, please feel free to educated yourself. Most of the information here has already been published on the web and the researcher and sources get full credit for doing the ground work.
